I was impressed by Nathan Brown's post match interview tonight. He will achieve a lot with the Knights in the next 5 years. He has come back from the UK a real man manager. I wish him well.Worth a watch for all coaches of junior teams.Well done Browny.http://m.nrl.com/rd-21-press-conference-knights/tabid/10959/contentid/928312/default.aspx

  • Best post game conference of the year and Browny described the philosophy of the game very well.
Newcastle's young team are in good hands.
  • I heard it too and was impressed . Was a nice change and yes I agree a lot of coaches could learn a thing or two from browny
  • If I was a player I'd want to be coached by brown. Great approach, philosophy and knowledge of the game. Knights are becoming my second favourite team and I hope they win 4/5 games ( losing to us if course).
  • Brown is doing an excellent job IMO, a clown like Stuart should take note instead of blaming everyone else.

    • I think that the biggest mistake that Brown has made is to let his experienced players go such as the Sims brothers. This to a degree has left a young side leaderless and is the reason they have failed to close out games.

That is not a good learning environment for young footballers

    • That is true but it is also what a good man manger does. If however you are unable to keep experienced players it would be best to replace them with other experienced players.
  • Just watched it off the back of your recommendation Turps. I think your spot on the money mate.

  • I have pondered the fate of Newcastle all season.

I think they have had some dammed good games and been unlucky in some.

Browny backing the young guys like he did is fantastic for the Knights and showed he has matured somewhat as a person.

From memory he was pretty well liked at St Merge when he was there but didn't have the nouse or experience to convert it into a winning culture.

What we are seeing here is the birth of a winning culture at the Knights imo.

Seem to remember another team not so long ago that looked a lot like the Knights.

  • Brownie certainly stole the "found a way to win" phrase from Brad, and I thought BA should have copyrighted it.

But seriously, those kids are lucky to have brownie as coach. Very honest and a gentleman
  • i bought two, but still lost. Monopoly is crap.

"I'm not suggesting throwing Lorenzo or any other young player in there now, they aren't ready, my point is they still won't be ready for a start in 2027 either so are we going to sign another 1 year stop gap 6 for 2027?."
