What are you on about Coryn? Glossing over what? It appears you have no idea about the actual game in reference here. Or the actual season for that matter. Some more research might assist in your understanding.
The only knee jerk reaction here is from you in response to the fact that I posted. See how that is working for you? I'm not involved in the rubbish you may be referring to. You have just simply misinterpreted something and can't see it that way.
I'll spell it out for you 'Sunshine' - Timbo posted the scores from 3 consecutive mid season Souths games last season. That's season 2021, 'Sunshine'. You know, the year that Souths played the Panthers in the GF. Quite a clever little post actually considering the week it has been.
Timbo Turtle's post indicated that Souths went through those 3 rounds with heavy loss, win, heavy loss. I simply stated that the next round after these 3 was another win. Eg. on 2 occasions in 4 weeks, Souths bounced back for wins after heavy losses. That second win was against the Eels who had been placed reasonably well on the ladder.
It is your little 'knee jerk' reaction that started referring to a Souths v Eels finals match at the end of the 2020 season. You're on the wrong page there in this discussion 'Sunshine'. Just realise it and move on, rather than trying to unnecessarily dig in.
Don't dwell on your 'knee jerk' mistake for too long. Everything will work out for you. Have a lovely evening!
That doesn't change the fact there is a big difference between getting flogged by a top tier premiership threat and a bottom of the table wooden spoon team.
The fact of the matter is you need to finish, at worse top 4 to have a realistic chance of winning the premiership. Some would argue you need to finish top 2. To achieve that you need to beat the cellar dwellers and not just the top tier teams.
As it stands we will be lucky to finish top 6 let alone top 4 and that definitely counts us out of the premiership race.
There are still more games to go and there are other teams who very well might beat the Storm and Panthers like we did.
Yes our chances of beating them in the finals is good but we only just beat them both and they will go up a couple of gears come finals time. I have not seen us really go up a gear in the finals over the last few years. Yes we beat easy beats in the first round of finals but then got bundled out in the second round of finals by higher quality teams.
What worries me is if we finish in the bottom of the top 8 and have to beat teams that we are expected to beat.
We all know what happens when we play teams we are expected to beat.
Good point Coryn ,I think we need to give credit to how Bulldog s played rather than think where they are on the ladder. Their game is coming together quite well Burton has been a good buy for them.Creative player.Lets see how their next few games go.
"Any Parra game reletively is a big draw but some opposition than others more so. Parra fans travel well.
You are never going to get an even draw. Some clubs will say fair, others not so much and vice versa the next year.
But what do you conceade as…"
"Eels v knights is also a big draw card but we usually only get them once and it's at Newcastle 9-10 times.
When the draw is un-even in relation to how many times teams play other teams there needs to be some fairness involved. I can't see why the…"
"Alfred, Ryda is a exciting talent, along with Petrus, and probaby wont debut until '27. But for sure it will be worth the wait! He is all class and loves the involvement.
He reminds me of a young Cayless but slightly bigger.
We only have to lock him…"
