Fitzy can enjoy his retirement!!!!

We would be going backwards as a club if fitzy returns. He had his day in the sun and should continue that horse ride into the distance. If fitzy was to return say goodbye to BA as coach and Foran too. Surely we can find someone with a bit of business knowledge to come in with no allegiances and run the club in s proper governance and professional way. Would bloke like Peter Wynn a successful businessman be willing throw his hand up and help the club. He's top bloke and is parra through and through. Plus we should keep Ian Schubert on a full time basis to just keep the bastards honest. Any thoughts?

  • The big question is it the Management that are the problem or the board?

One would argue that a strong CEO can influence a board, however that is the biggest problem with us.  We need business people on the board and not old heads

    • The CEO should not be telling the board what to do. We have been there with Fitzy.
  • We should given the ceo job to someone one not of the inner circle ,a hard nosed outsider with no personal friendships or alliances within ,shubert has just had his contract extended for another 12 months anyway but why wouldnt he make a top ceo with his knowledge and experience and also a real football knowledge ,,would seem the ideal person to me . Only my opinion ! Govern the club with a working knowledge of the salary cap as well , even the nrl would be overjoyed with that one!!
  • Fitzy is still lurking in the background causing mischief. He goes to his usual allies in Hardley, buzz, webby, proscenks and Daniel lane. Neither him or Spags will give up.
  • I think we need a petition to keep Fitz from the club. That would send a message or two.

    • Yeah.... because he's listened every other time the members have told him to bugger off via election results....

    • Or when he was forced to resign
  • Indeed - Fitzy also spent alot of time with Ovo as the CEO - a man of immeasurable strength and integrity.

Of course, this was all in the past, we are presently in the current.
