After all the waiting, Round One is almost done.
First impressions:
Parra- mostly all been said:
1. Need fit and firing halves to be a scoring threat.
2. Need more organisation and creativity when inside opposition 10m line.
3. Kelly is not the answer when Foran is out.
4. Last tackle options and kicking need work, but hopefully better with fit Norman + Foran
5. Good defensive effort sustained all game- unlikely to see blow out floggings of yesteryear.
Overall:
1. Early days, but there were some very good sides on show already.
2. Fearful injury toll in several clubs after just one round. Luck, depth and injury management will have a big bearing on the final 8.
Wet dream:
Choc retires. $2m spent on topping up Semi, upping the offer to keep Paulo who reneges on Canberra before the midyear deadline. Remaining 7 figure sum spent on.... Hayne's return to the blue and gold.

Need a new attacking strategy.
Double cut out play from inside out has been around too long & teams know how to number off & defend against it now.
Every time we ran it the Broncos had no problem defending this old ploy.
Need more inventive creativity coaching staff.
I think the first thing people on here should do, is to stop talking up people who have little ability.
To be fair, we haven't seen the saints or storm yet but I am pretty impressed with where Parra is ATM. Although we had a loss, comparing us to the Titans, Tigers, Raiders and others, we looked pretty good really considering we were without our first choice halves. Broncos are the team to beat, cows next and we are not far off at full strength.
We are at full strength leading into round two also, which quite a few teams are not.
Disappointing that Parra had no halves in the 2nd half. Can't beat anyone like that.
nothing to overreact about.
not true steve. isnt kelly in our top 25 anyway?
