Seems like a team with a new attitude now, for whatever or whoever reason, last year we would have layed down in a game like Sundays and let them win but they seemed to just go up a gear in the last 20 mins.Hopefully we trouble all teams in all grounds.a win against Roosters or Storm would really boost our confidence.
Agree, totally different attitude from last year, maybe the new players made a difference, don't care so long as they keep it up that new found attitude
The Eels did look a bit like the team of 2016. It's only very early in the season so we have heaps of time to improve. Injuries are a curse that can hit any club at any time & we certainly copped it from the footy gods on Sunday by loosing Nathan Brown. As we all know it's about being there and abouts mid season so hopfully the boy's will get a few more wins along the way until a freash Brown is back. He looked awesome before he went down. Manu Mau is another that was playing the best Iv'e seen him play in a while so I'm looking forward to him getting back onto the field. Only time will tell but it was a GREAT feeling watching the game on Sunday. I will be super keen to see how we go against the Roosters & Sharks in coming weeks. For this weekend I hope we give it to the Dogs & show absolutly no mercy.
Wow incredible it’s that long...it’s no wonder even the most die hard of us have a wait and see approach about our new season.
The best thing about last week I thought was, that we seemed to have some signs of that old ‘turning up for eachother’ back.
its even more imperative than ever we keep that attitude up and make it our strength...esp in support of all our young talent and our squad not as origin star studded littered as most.
Got to love the resilience of us Eels fans. It feels like we’re all back on board with full optimism after 1 away win since rd 25, 2017! Not having a go at anyone, Im genuinely impressed as its not easy to stick solid. The easy option is to switch to a more successful team like the Storm or Roosters.
If the players are half us tough as the fan base, we’ll be in for a good year!
"If this is the angle being taken Lomax needs to undergo the appropriate forms of assessment. If proven to be legitimate, he may not be fit to play for any club at this point in time."
"The Vlandys support of Lomax continues with a release today, commenting that the current actions are affecting Lomax's mental health. Mental health is a serious issue and should not be used as an argument to change the public discussion and position…"
"Good to see some Russell love, but it was only a trial game against an ordinary Cronulla reserve grade side. Russell probably had the most first-grade experience of anyone out there. Let's see how the next six months pan out."
