Final 11 rounds

As it currently stands we have a pretty good run home. Out of the last 11 rounds we have the bye twice, we play the Broncos twice. We play an origin depleted Stom and the other 6 games we play the bottom 5 teams, playing the bulldogs twice also. 4 of those games against bottom 5 teams in a row. Who is a little excited??

  • I am a Parra fan, been built up with excitement then left a shattered blubbering mess crying into my schooner way too many times in the last 30 years to get too carried away at this point in the season. Ask us again in 11 weeks.
    • Spot on
    • Lol
  • Parras terrible differential means they will need at least 30 pts to make it.

The byes get us to 20 pts. So that means winning minimum 5 from 9

Definitely doable but by no means certain

The big 4 games are v dogs and Broncos

Even without the origin players i don't like parras chances against the Storm.

The games against the Tigers, Knights, Souths and Titans should be wins.
  • Next 4 weeks will give us a good idication of wether they will make it or not. Eels have the bye this week then bulldogs which they should win, next game vs the storm no slater cronk smith and munster probally wont be there either due to jt injury he should be 18th man for qld. Then eels have the bye agian after that tigers tigers very good chance of 10 points in 5 weeks (sitting eels on 26 points) even if they lost one or so there they still have rabbits and knights to play in the following weeks.i wouldnt be too worried of for and agianst parra is about 60 or 70 points behind most teams from 6-10th with playing 6 games against bottom 5 teams it only takes 2 big wins, knights and rabbits especially to turn that around.
There is a total of 22 possible points they need only 12 4 of those will come from byes so 8 points from 18 if those dont make it from here they shouldnt play finals footy
    • I like your thinking. Can you tell me the last time we had a big win though? We seem pretty good at putting the cue in the rack this year. Instead of winning by 40 we seem to struggle to get over the line.
    • Hey guys...just got home from junior footy. Good points I feel a bit on both sides too knowing our history. Optimisic Eel, im with you 100% though. Your comment should be the blog haha
  • It's pretty easy to get excited about the draw and the points on offer and where that leaves us on the table, maybe 6 at best.

But the scary part is that we'll have played only a handful of games against two quality teams in 10 weeks leading into the finals and as it stands we are yet to win a game this year against a top 4 side.

Finals footy is a new competition so once you're there anything is possible and barring injuries our spine should be very settled.

    Go you Eels!
    • Great point mate..... thats could some concern for sure. So we want to win the tough games and win the easy games with big scores to help with some reassurance
