We deserve to lose due to that last tackle defensive effort falling off tackle after tackle. That said the field goal was questionable. As per NRL rules the opportunity for our defenders to chase the kicker didn't allow our a player a chance to get at the kicker.
The Wall
"If two or more players form a wall (side by side) next to the play the ball and don’t allow the opportunity for a defending player to move directly towards the player in possession, the referee will penalise for obstruction."
Although not side by side Boyd was beside the play the ball and as gutho ran around him lodge moved in to stop him moving forward and stop the kicker. It wasn't the only questionable call either with the foward pass ruling against us but I watched closely for when penalties were awarded and the soft penalties broncos got when under pressure working out of their half were questioned by the commentators as they were bad calls.

All Lane had to do was fall on Segyaro, but he watched him get up and eventually in the same play Fifita set up the field goal.
I think Lane was worried about giving away the penalty. He thought he was held, if he tackled him and he was held then penalty,though decision to make.
