Ferguson to play centre.

Key points.

* 3 clubs wanted Ferguson - Sharks, Knights, Eels.  We offered more.

* Roosters offered him a one year extensionon on wingers money.

* Parramatta have said Ferguson will play centre and be offered centre money 1.5 million over 3 years. 28 yo.

* Parramatta have said privately that they will monitor Ferguson's behavior and will face sanctions if there's any problem. He has been on a gambling and booze ban at the Roosters this year.

    He will pay him centre money and end up playing him everywhere in the backline.

      So what we doing with M. Jennings? He signing elsewhere with us paying some of it? I know the Knights were keen

    Personally, I don't think we are paying overs at $500K for the form winger of the competition. we offered Semi $600K to come back. The other point I would make is the fact that good players still want to come to the club regardless of how poor this season has been? Is a big endorsement of BA as an NRL coach. BA sacking M. Jennings to Wenty also shows his ability to make the hard decisions.

    He is a winger. We'll probably let him play centre and then halfway through another disappointing season move him to the wing. There will be a massive amount of injuries next year and our centres will be randoms by that stage of the season.

    Another point about Fergusson which I am not sure has been mentioned, is that he is an excellent back up goal kicker as well.Excellent signing by the club. Fergo is a big outside back and experienced winger who is in great form and leading the stats in run meters and post contact meters. A fantastic signing by the club.
