Feleti Mateo set for shock return for Eels (LOL)

FELETI Mateo is back - and ready to bring his unique NBA game to a rejuvenated Parramatta's push for the 2009 NRL finals. The Daily Telegraph can reveal Mateo is being considered for a shock return to the Eels pack in this Saturday's match against the Warriors at Parramatta Stadium.... "There are still some issues with his fitness, as you'd expect of anyone who has been out for so long," a source said. "But, yes, he is certainly being considered for the Warriors game." Well done, Tele. You've told us that a player who was on standby last week could be a "shock" inclusion this week. It's more of a shock, he's not been named, quite frankly!

  • Gee didn't see that one coming. Have they named the Wenty team for this weekend. Just wondering if Mateo and Keating were named in this team. If Mateo was really not to play in the Warriors match this weekend due to match fitness then you would expect him to turn out for Wenty.
  • Melanie - wenty got a bye this weekend. If Mateo is fit then he should be in the team.
  • what morons lol

I would imagine bulldogs would want him next year though.…"

"Not really Eli, the conditions were atrocious and the weakness that the dogs have (in those conditions) is a light mobile pack which was not suited. If you noticed the Dolphins played straight up the middle and made a lot of metres doing so. That…"

"Don't know Cappy, Burton would make a great fullback, always thought Stacey was marking a spot.
If this is true I think it is a really smart move. Burton is a very good player, I would have him 5/8 in the current Blues side, he will eat fullback.…"
