With the new stadium opening soon, what were your favourite memories/games at the old Parramatta Stadium? excluding Cumberland Oval.
Some of mine were the 1999 finals game against Newcastle. It was good to beat them after what happened in 1997.
Beating North Queensland 62-0 in 2001.
That 74-4 win over Cronulla in 2003.
Beating Canterbury 56-4 in 2005 with Tahu doing the slam dunk and Riddell's daft dance moves.
2006 against Wests when 21,000 showed up, I think if we didn't win that game Brian Smith was to be sacked. We won but it turned out he was gone within the next month.
Beating Melbourne 24-10 in 2010.
Beating Easts 14-12 in 2014, we were wooden spooners, they were the premiers. Hayne held money bill williams over the line with less than 3 minutes to go.

1995.
We only win 3 games all year. We beat the premiers in dogs, the cowboys in front of about 1200 people and the best one of all
The cold Saturday evening while playing the South queensland crushers, there was an interchange for the visitors and at that glorious moment the great Mario French was hit square in the head whilst leaving the ground. And the falcon was born. Yes we went on to win the game
Long live the falcon ...
Lee Oudenryn V Martin Offiah and Bert Kenny running riot that same night against The Brits!
I remember Gary Schofield went to. Kick off and he had a near airswing and the ball rolled about 30 cm
Hitting Jamie Lyon in the arse with a 20c piece in his first visit to the stadium playing for Manly would have to be up there for me. Not proud if it now but as a young knob in his mid 20s, I was extremely proud of my aim that night! I’m sure others on this site were lobbing the coins as well!
Great sign at that game too.
"Jamie's not a Lyon he is a Dog" ha ha ha love it
Coming back from the dead 22 - 0 at half time in 1987 against Canberra . In those days that scoreline you were near unbeatable the booing at the break as they walked up the tunnel was the loudest ive heard . We won 30 - 22
Favourite stadium memory was picking up a two thirty dirty at kicks night club one night and taking the young lady round the back of the stadium for a blow job. Oh those were the days.
Mine is the opening of Parramatta stadium way back in 80s i think it was 86 against the tigers i only 15 years old that my best memory of old stadium i have
I like to go to the new stadium one day this year but it be hard for me i dont live in Sydney no more
Im back home looking after mum
Best memory was my first game there in 2004. Wife secretly booked tickets, airfares and accommodation for my 40th.
We did the complete interstate tourist thing, shopping at Peter Wynn's, ferry up the river and some dodgy bus trip around the city. Good times.
Shame the needled up Knights ruined the weekend.
Favourite memory was my big bro taking me to my first game there in my early 20s after we had followed the Eels since '86. Can't even remember if we won because I was in awe of the atmosphere, of seeing my team live and of just how good a stadium it was - there wasn't a bad seat in the place! Shame the stadium's gone, but the new one looks pretty amazing - will hopefully be able to check out a game when I'm over east in July.
