Did anybody else manage to get up to the fan day?
I headed up later than I wanted to and got there just as John Boulous was being interviewed on stage.
Geez there were heaps more people there than last year, which isn't unexpected. It was bloody hot too.
It was a good morning, the players were really accessible.

Hey Nutcracker,
I went this morning for about an hour from around 10 to 11 when it was members only - there were heaps of peaople there, way more than I recall at last years fan day.
I had a good chat to Alan Overton (he worked with my old man at James Hardie for many years), he's looking great and still has that steely stare :). He's 80 now but is still very active in the community, particularly with his much loved charities. It was awesome to catch up with him - he's a real icon of the club imo.
Also talked to Steve Sharp for a while - I know Steve has his critics but I have to say that he is one of the most pleasant, unassuming, down to earth, genuine individuals I have met. He spoke candidly and passionately about the club and was more than willing to converse with anyone that chose to approach him. I was thoroughly impressed to be honest.
Finally - the highlight - I got to meet sixties, Miatch, Forty20, Chris and Gustarny - all absolute champion blokes and true blue and gold Parra fans - really nice blokes :)
Great way to spend a Sunday morning :))
