  I should point out I am not having a go at Muslims
  Just don't like how they are always made out to be the victims when anything happens
  
  But this blog was meant to be about the Heros who acted in danger and were not helped
  Should not have put in any distractions.

  Wow, I've seen some stupid comments on this site but this takes the cake. No one has forgotten the 2 innocent victims in this or their families and the media tonight have made an effort to honour them. In the end they need to be careful to show respect to the families involved.
  
  Without the support of many Australian's with the "I'll ride with you" idea there was a huge potential for bloodshed today with innocent Muslims then becoming victims. Instead many have stood up as true Aussies do and support there fellow man, whether Catholic, Muslim, etc.

    Where did he say we'd forgotten them? He wrote it at a time when there were only vague stories about who'd died and how.
    
    He merely said we should help their families.
    
    The ill ride with you was a shallow claim and who are these Muslim victims. Which ones had their family members killed in cold blood? On the news they had a lady handing over flowers to Muslims to say sorry, for what?
    
    The guy was a self confessed cleric, and flew a flag associated with Islam. Of course people are going to connect the two together. But everyone waited and it was discovered he was just a psycho. However IS did tweet their support.
    
    So who are the victims?
    
    It's the 15 or so hostages and their families, esp the families of the two killed.
    
    So before you ride, why don't you take a gift or donate money to the 3 kids who lost their mother just before Christmas.
    
    Talk about stupid comments.

    Ha ha, truth and commonsense? What did you expect from the media to start discussing the 2 victims and their families, lives, etc straight after their deaths?? The media could have hammered on about this the moment they found out the victims name. However they have done the right thing and keep most of it private.
    
    Since late yesterday media and the community has shown massive support and paid tribute to the victims. Not sure what else you expect?

    I've read the original post and stand by my comments. The post was asking why no one was honoring the true heros rather than Muslims via the I'll ride with you idea. Again as per my 1st response what do you expect the media to do following the tragedy, start bombarding the public with news, stories images, etc of the 2 victims and their families? This would show ZERO respect to them, and in my opinion be indirect contract to what they deserve. So again based on this I still suggest this was a stupid blog to begin with. I could definitely agree with it if it was today and the media was still focusing on other topics, but not hours after the news broke.

    If, but, when, could, its all semantics. My comments still apply whether is was as the news was breaking (ie IF) or after it was confirmed (ie when). Your comment was poor timing regarless, and in hindsight are actually in poor taste Wile if the news was just a rumor as you suggest rather than actual news.

    Oh sorry I didn't realise I was wrong because my opinion wasn't the same as yours. My mistake TBUR, next time I'll just follow what you write as this will obviously be correct.
