With our season on life support a lot of us fans are hoping a young Dylan Brown can slot straight in at 6 and be the difference between missing and making the finals.
I thought it would bei interestingt to look at some of our previous failed saviours and perhaps if we can all cross our fingers we might finally have some luck. Heck, I don't believe in God but if someone does please pray for us.
Here's the failed saviours in recent times:
* Michael Witt - Nathan Cleary without luck and cool head
* Tim Smith - psychologically damaged
* Daniel Mortimer - not an organiser + can't kick = not a half
I guess time will tell but I'd hate to think Dylan Brown is added to this list.
Cross your fingers and pray to the god(s) Parra fans.

I think being in 8th spot with favourable draw, for and against, home games and a bye to come we can make the 8 without Brown so we don't need a saviour. Although he would take pressure off Moses especially when it comes to kicking salmon can do the job. Brown should help us next year though become a more consistent team.
We have won 50% of our games.
Despite still having a bye we need to win 70% from here to possibly make the eight (based on 30 points cut off).
Also teams rarely win if they don't finish top 4.
Life support.
Who ever said anything about winning the entire competition? Or is this where the mediocrity line gets rolled out? Opposite ends of the spectrum, we are far from needing life support being somewhere in the middle.
Pretty sure that's the intention of being in the comp.
Thanks for the advice, just pointing out that things aren’t as bad as you make out.
There is no way 30 is the cut off. We are in the 8 on equlal points with tigers but with better for and against. What makes you think we need 70% win rate from here. Will a side below us will win 8 of 10 to overtake us for 8th spot. We also have easier draw than majority of teams fighting for 8th.
The cut off is likely to be lower than previous years due to some many teams sharing wins instead of being clear top 8.
Hopefully you're right and we can get in on 28

From here on the comp gets intrusting. Most teams start to knit and play a better brand of football. I like watching quite a few teams and I even like how Bulldogs may be last but give it their best shot. Eels may improve but guess what so will a few others dramatically.
