Extra spark to go up a level

Sure we were unlucky in the semi against Penrith but to win the compdo we need a little extra??

I like Will Smith but as a no 14 I don't think he's the guy who will break a game apart and be the difference between a win and a loss.

I think we need someone like Milford or Benji. Milford would be a long term option but has already signed, Benji is yet to decide if he will go around again.

Does anyone he think Benji would be a good option to play the last 20mins of a game for us or would he be a liability?

The other quality player who might be cheep and I think would be worth buying id Tariq Sims. Unwanted at his current club that he captains and played origin this year and the last few. Surely he has 2-3 good years left and could possilbly get him cheep??

  • After bowing out of w2 of the finals it's clear that we're missing a game-breaker in the team. We're a pretty solid team across the park and getting some value from what we have. But we're sorely missing a dynamic and creative player.

None of the players above (while decent), I would consider a genuine game-breaker... we're better off prioritizing that imo.

Milf is a possibility, but he probably won't be playing next year with those assault charges.

  • No to all.

    • They won't allow a wheel chair on the field for old man Benji.
    • Milford got arrested.
    • Sims? Who would you replace for Sim?
    • Nikuore to centre,Blake to wing Sims back row. Work with Nikuore over off season for more speed And laterall movement.

      • We don't need sims, he's a myth. Plays decent in origin, but goes missing in club footy.

What we need is a PJ Marsh that can play anywhere, but is a genuine hooker backup.

        • Peachey

  • Will Penisini could be that spark we have been looking for. He's a smart, talented footballer who can go a long way. He's been given a limited role in his few games this year, but we may see a bit more creativity from him next year.

    • Will's a gun.

    • That's what Super and Brettles tried selling us before the last two seasons. It won't work without bringing in fresh talent also.

  • Our halves are good enough. Once we get Reed back we'll do ok there. What we are really missing is a decent ball runner in the backline. Someone who can make line breaks through speed or strength. Someone who can make something out of nothing. Especially with Fergo gone. Will is coming along, but he can't do it all himself. Hopefully we can pick up a dynamic winger.

    • No Dylan Browns attack is not good enough in its present form to win a comp on the back of. Its just not even close.
