Experiment —-

Lot of political blogs here atm. I’d like to conduct a little experiment. DONT WORRY MODS!!! The only prejudice here will be in peoples minds and not on screen. This is something we do with different people to highlight different patterns of thinking —- no wrong answers here but it makes you think —- I’ll give an example ....._______ jokes are funnyIn my experience many people used to say the blank was “IRish”. Most people in the group had no “issue” with this or thought it was bad. However.... in this group we had a woman whose father was Irish and took great offence as she had grown up hearing “dumb Irishmen” jokes. It’s a good example of how stereotypes go both ways, not just what the media reports. Be honest with yourself an are what your automatic reaction is to these. This is not pc but quite the ppposite and there are examples of positive sterotypes. As I said MODS ant prejudice is only in your minds.....(note: the number of blanks does not denote the number of letters... as I said there are no wrong or right answers)1. _______s are always good students2. _______s tend to drink a lot3. ________s just need to get a job4._________s rights need to be recognised5.________ have been warring for hundreds of years so why bother6. _______ are just arrogant7________ need to stop enforcing their beliefs on the rest of us8________just need to go back where they came from9.________ can’t play football10.______ always complain to get attention11._______Cannot he trustedAgain, no right or wrong answers, nor any bias or slant as there can be numerous responses to every question...... how’d you find it?

I like how you point out there is no bias, yet this blog reeks of stereotypes.

  This is exactly the point KA —— no race, religion or way of life is mentioned here... not one!!! The only way a stereotype is created is by the reader filling in the blanks!!! I hope this says something to you....
