just wondering if Justin Poore is paying a heavy price from Parra fans with the injury to Shane Shackleton?
Parra out lay close to the $500 K for the pair of them, Shackleton is injured in the 1st game, out indefinitely leaving Poore solely in the spot light as they key signing.
I wonder if Shackleton was playing whether Poore would be criticised as much?
Will the same befall Shackleton when he returns?

I do think he is on the up though. He is playing really well as a bench prop and when Cayless and Fui go off we lose very little. That's what you need as a team. He is becoming a useful part of the bigger picture.
Hes looking up and adapting to our style of play
Poore is on a hiding to nothing... He's a 250K prop on 350K or maybe more... It's not his fault Parra payed overs for him. If you pay a player twice what they are worth don't expect their peformaces to be twice as good.
I can't explain why some players have their careers lined in $$, gold and positive headlines..... Civoneciav for example is a good prop. But I am 99% sure he has been at the helm when ricky and bennet lost the world cup/trinations (or whatever it was)... He was also at the helm when QLD had some pretty big lossed in the early naughties..... He lived in Webcke's shadow for a long time and when Webcke retired, Price has been twice the player Civ has been. Civ is a better than good player, but he is nowhere near as good as the media makes out he is.... There is plenty of examples of him asleep at the wheel during big matches..... he plays well when things around him are going well, but when the tables are turned he goes into hiding.
i wouldnt be surprised if Poore plays out of skin next year and becomes the one of the top props - not having the media attention or pressure of fans.
