After the last three Rounds of showing up with hard headed determination, we finally snared a win. It wasn't pretty, and we almost blew it, following a glut of possession to Panthers following halftime (not to mention 5 penalties in a row).
After 12 rounds we currently sit 15th on the ladder with a -52 point differential.
We are on equal 4th for points scored, which is quite an achievement for a team without their previously best attacking weapon.
But still troubling is our points conceded in which we are still worst in the comp. Last night I thought we should have run away with the game, but allowed Panthers to score 20 points in the second half, through defensive lapses, especially on our right edge.
Adding to Snakes blog on Pauli, when he came on our right edge went to water. Pauli really needs to step it up defensively. Same goes for Sandow, who was run over by Cartwright more times than I could count.
Having said that we have two byes, and 12 games left to play. To have any hope of getting a sniff at making the eight we need to reverse our current W/L and win 8 of our next 12.
Our run home is as follows:
If we play with same attitude as we have shown over the last 3 weeks I can see us winning all our home games with the potential of beating the Titans and Manly away from home.
So wrangle your unicorn, saddle on and hold tight. 12 more rounds and we may have our first taste of finals footy in half a decade.
Barring that, what would you like to see the Eels improve on?

We need Thurston to start the game then break his leg about 2 minutes into the first half if we are going to be any chance of winning the Cowboys match.
we need Thurston to break he leg against manly for us to win and couple of other player to
Don't say that Paul you know how we go playing under strength sides.
I can seriously see us winning 4-6 of the next 12 games.
But this years not about winning for me, its about building on the previous weeks good work, its about consistancy, attitude, determination and aggression, its about not being pushovers and not going backwards.
We really need to set a good foundation for next year, have the boys believing in themselves and believing that their new team mates will take them to a new level.
If the boys aim up every week and start to build those things i'll be excited for next year.
Snake I want to see exactly that, but I don't want it to be just for building to next year.
We are only half way through 2015, we need to keep building towards a finals appearance this year.
Quite frankly I'm sick of the Eels fans mantra of "next year", because if you're stuck looking at the future you're not focused on the present and putting in this week.
Two-year plan. 8-12th this year. Grand final in 2016.
2009.
We won 3 in a row last year im pretty sure.
