Excitement v concerns around recruitment

I like any Eels fan is full of expectation for the season ahead. I think on paper we have recruited as well as any other team in the NRL. We have recruited experience in keys positions, speed and grit. We have also recruited players who are coming off injury ridden 2015 seasons or off field disciplinary issues. I'm excited about our prospects but am crossing my fingers and toes that our team stay fit, healthy and focused for 2016 and beyond.Go the eels!

  • Only try to realize the truth...there is no spoon.
  • Ta mate....its the Oracle in the Matrix
  • Agreed, your opening sentence is a breath of fresh air, finally we have a roster that demands expectation.

I don't remember the last time I expected the Eels to fire, hope was the standard emotion, hope is now dead and expectation has taken over.

Only a horrendous injury run can derail our 2016 campaign, BA has had his dress rehearsal, no more building, 2016 is opening night for BA. No more excuses, the roster his has is a top 5 team, I'll be disappointed with anything less.

Go you mighty Eels, I have blue and gold table clothes, banners, streamers and balloons left over from 2009, how I'd love to need them in September.

  • Who have we recruited coming of injury ridden season other than Gutherson ?.

    • Foran had groin injury last year that had him out for a number of weeks, Scott had similar and Jennings off field issues.
  • Matt, stop trying to chat the oracle up.
