  • I would piss off Jimmy the Junkie, bring Tommy T into the centres and have Cotric on the wing.  I think they have the spine right and most of the pack.  Campbell Gillard coming back will make a difference was well.

    • No way the Jet had 60 odd tackles for the series compared to Mitchell who had I think 27 maybe just 30 and the Jet averaged 84 meters were Mitchell only made 79 so he didn't do that bad just because he didn't score a try people think he played bad.
      • Mate he was crap, in game 2 both QLD's tries were due to him being out of position and Turbo had to come in who copped all the blame.  Cotric on the wing will make a massive difference from our own 20m as well he's like another forward.  He was handled comfortably by a turnstile like Gaygay in game 3.

  • I would definitely swap Wade Graham for Angus Crichton and maybe Keary for Cleary,RCG for Paul Vaughn and Aaron Woods for De Belin or Frizzel. Frizzel,Vaughn and De Belin were really poor expected more from them.
  • Yeah, I think we need at least one extra big bopper on the bench. We really only had one in Klemmer in this series after RCG went down, and if QLD were better at turning field position into points we would have lost this series 3-0. For mine Crichton & Peachey were luxuries, Crichton in particular I thought was poor in all 3 games. I'm not convinced about Paul Vaughn at this level either.

This is my team for game 1 next year

    1) Tedesco

    2) Turbo Tom

    3) Roberts (His defence got better as the series went on so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt)

    4) MItchell

    5) JAC

    6) Maloney

    7) Cleary

    8) Klemmer

    9) Cook

    10) RCG

    11) Cordner

    12) Frizell

    13) Turbo Jake

    14) Boyd / Woods / Paulo / Vaughn/James (Which ever one really knocks down the door)

    15) De Belin

    16) Wade Graham

    17) McInness  (I would rather have a dedicated back up DH than a utility as Cook looked gassed by series end).

    • Hey Brett can you tell me what Shannon Boyd is more of a metre eater or more of a tackler.
      • At his best I would say he's a metre eater, big, surprisingly agile for his size. You'd have to stagger his minutes with Klemmer though as they could be found defensively together.

Unfortunately he's either been injured or out of form this year, Woods has had a shocking season, Junior has been inconsistent. Compounding the problem is the unavailability of Andrew Fifita.

    • Because I looked at his career stats not 1 year out of 4,5 has he averaged over 100 meters junior Paulo has averaged over a 100 5 out of 6 years except his debut year.
      • Which is why I don't pay a lot of attention to raw stats like metres gained. What those raw stats don't show is things like when and where he makes those metres, who the opposition are, what the conditions are like etc.

Gaining 5m off your own line is every bit as valuable as 20m in the middle of the park.

    • Plus if you are the prop who takes the most kick off drop out hit ups your going to get extra meters before hitting the defense
