Everyone is writing us off

Most of the so called experts are tipping us to lose tonight and ultimately be the team to miss out on the 8.

The game tonight reminds me of the pre-lim last year when we were backing up while the Cowboys were well rested, we had to travel and the heat was going to be too much for us.

Of all the tough games coming up this is the one I'd really like us to win, to stop the Cows' momentum and to show we can win with key players missing. Come on boys!

  • It'll be a tough ask. We still don't have our first choice 6 and gun prop. Sivo hadn't been in great form but at worst he still does a decent job defensively and under the high ball. Hopefully we can do the job tonight, a win here would be a real bonus

  • Well you can't blame them really.

Cowboys have won 5 on the trot, they are pretty much at full strength playing at home. We are missing 4 key players.

What did you expect the experts to say, Parra by 20?

    • But yes obviously I want the boys to smash the Kent's.

  • I have a bad feelin about tonite, think could be a 20+ loss

    • Got the same feeling

  • It's a fair tip. We have important players missing and playing in Townsville against a form side. Never easy

  • Parramatta need to win 3 from the remaining 6 plus the bye which should get us into 8th. This game is crucial as its virtually a 4 point swing either way.

  • I cannot see anyone dislodging Broncos and Panthers from Spots 1 and 2. They are in a shootout for the Minor Premiership.

Warriors have s soft draw home so they have 3rd or even 2nd sown up but I don't think thery will overtake Broncos and Panthers for Minor Premiership.

That leaves SIX teams shooting for 4th spot: Storm & Raiders (28 pts), Sharks (26 pts), Eels, Bunnies and Cowboys (24 pts).

The Bunnies have the softest draw in the remaining rounds, while each of the other six have roughly the same difficulty of draw.

I define "soft" as playing less than 50%+ of your remaining games against teams in the 8 and I am including Cowboys (equal 8th on points). Note Eels probably have toughest, with 4/6 games vs contenders. Bunnies only play one team still in contention.

Thus, it is great the Bunnies lost, but they will still make the Top 8. Both Eels and Cowboys have a chance to put a game between themselves and the Bunnies and get within a one game striking distance of 4th.

The fate of the Eels is in their own hands. Knock off Cowboys and Storm and 4th is within reach. Lose BOTH and they are scratching for 8th with Bunnies (soft draw), Sharks (not great against better sides) and Cowboys.

    • Souths though do not play a game at home til Round 27, that can really hurt them. Pressure too for them to win the comp not just make the 4 or 8.

    • When are we gonna  be in a shootout for the minor
