Eurovision Song Contest- Who is watching

Well, I know some on here may think this is a bit weird for FrankTheTank and way out out of left field for him, but who has been followimg this years Eurovision Song Contest?

Voyager from Australia is competing tomorrow morning at 5am and they are singing a song called Promise.

I've watch pretty much every year since I was probably 6/7 with my parents.

I know that's a bit weird for someone as transphobic, homophobic, sexist, conspiracist and climate denier such as me, but check these guys out. They may just make history tomorrow morning and win the damn thing. What a song what a performance...

Go Voyager

  • We all know you're a secret fruit

  • Very high energy Frank and visuals are great. Not my style of music any more but a powerful performance and should be up there in the finals l think. Eurovision is a big deal in Europe. Nice to get away from the NRL shopping channel for a little while.

I will make an effort to watch.

  • Just Missed it

  • I have not watched Eurovision since ABBA won it , in the 60's or 70's . I gave them good luck so if I am able to get up early in the morning after celebrating  a good Parra win tonight until late I might watch and also help the Aussie lot win and like Abba go on and find fame and fortune as well .

  • I watched a bit of it this morning. Far too much fill-in chatter to hold my attention. I often tell my family that the ability to focus on a visual or performance is being destroyed by modern art aesthetics which is messy and destroys the ability to focus on what the object of your attention should be. Bright busy flashing loud colorful lights take your attention off where your focus should be. It can often take your attention away from where it should be.

Same with the clothing colors you choose with clothing. Flesh-colored eg Yellow, orange-red colors, or busy patterned clothing take your attention off the face which is a warm color. Warm colors against warm skin tones don,t work. Best clothing colors to wear are on the cool scale eg greens blues, purple, and black. Greyer versions of these colors work best against skin tones. Next time you watch TV or look at people you will see what I mean. You naturally focus on a person's face if they are wearing colors on the cool scale. It is subtle but when you focus on that you will see what I mean. I am amazed at how the fashion and entertainment industry have got this all wrong.  Modern art concepts and visual awareness have got this all wrong. If you want to take your attention off your face wear warm colors

If you have artworks of items you want to feature in your home use cooler colours to really make them stand out

  • Nordic countries did very well.Estonia has a small population and has done very well. Very music oriented country.  I think these results says a bit about cultural value differences around the world
