  • if he plays like he did last year, definately keep him, but he needs his positional play looked at.
  • EGJ's coming or going will be determined by whether he gets a better offer. It seems we have salary cap issues and someone is likely to have to go.
  • KEEP. His positional play is irreparable: he will always come in to try to cut off or intercept attacking movements on his wing BUT he's TNT explosive when he gets the ball, tireless in supporting hit ups for the forwards and occassionaly useful in defence.
  • he will go, were gonna win the premiership this year anyway. then he will move on
  • KEEP HIM AS A SUBSTITUTE , THE MAN HAS POWER,SPEED AND SKILL , HE CAN DO WHAT MANY FORWARDS STRUGGLE TO ACHIVE .

    GO GURU JNR GO , GIVE THE OPOSITION HELL IN 2010
  • His ;

    - Big
    - Strong
    - Fast

    andddd .. sometimes can be lazy ..

    Look id love for grothe to stay but if HE REALLY WANTS TO STAY he has to work hard because we have soo many backs that will replace him just like that !

    We do have Salary cap issues and his getting some offers from Japan I believe .. But we will see.
    • Apart from Jono Wright who has played about 5 top grade games, who else is there for depth in the outside backs? I don't believe we have "soo many backs" as you assert that are ready to come in to 1st grade and be successful. Our depth in the outside backs is probably as bad as its been for the the last 5 or 6 years...
      • I agree with you EelLectric but that's probably as much to do with the fact that in past years we've arguably had too much depth - investing our cap across the board and subsequently leaving us short of the marquee players.

        We do have a few options. Etu is a solid option to come onto the wing, he didn't do a lot wrong last year when used. As you say Wright can cover centre and wing. Tom Humble is an option to drop back to fullback and I'm sure could also drop into wing if needed. And then of course if injuries hit Ben Smith and Taniela can drop back to centres.

        I think we've got enough players to cover ourselves unless we're injury riddled, but we certainly aren't stocked up on depth as we've been in the past.
  • Bloody hell the bloke was the most improved back in the eels outfit bar Hayne last year!!! IMO I think the bloke wants to leave so he can free up some cash for the club if he can get a contract to keep some of the juniors like Mortimer at the club he was absolutley outstanding last year all i have to say is there is more than one player i would like to see released before Jnr
  • eric is must keep.
