10.00 - 10.20 minute mark if you don't want to watch the whole clip. Bottom line
My tolerance and threshold (expired long ago) for individuals like the one being interviewed residing in this country. In the attempt to keep this blog open I will not comment further except to say. "Free transport and airfare will be arranged, we will hold your passport and you hold on to the memoires of living in such an unjust and discriminating country like Australia where you are treated so inhumanely, the conditions in the Middle East will be much more comfortable and accommodating for you and your beliefs" Good bye. Good on her - as a Lebanese Christian i am so glad she took the stance she did last night.
These people flee war torn countries in the Middle East searching for a better life but in fact it ends up being the opposite. They come here and ruin this beautiful country of ours that we all love and share.
Christians (and atheists) have been occupying this country alot longer than Muslims, and have managed to keep it free of mass internal warring and atrocities.
The same cannot be said of the Islamic lands.
Kaykay, what muslims were here a few centuries prior to euro settlement? and wheres the proof of that?
It was such a stupid statement i didnt bother commenting.
Lots of ppl were talking about this at work today, he has done a great many peaceful Muslims a disservice.
He could not bring himself to answer a simple yes to the questions that Emma asked whether he found the young boy holding a head up, the journos and aid worker workers abhorrent.
The fact that he chooses to live in Australia is mystifying.
How people respond or react to any blog posted is at their own discretion and view point. I will say though macybrown my whole intention was to highlight the individual in the interview and the point you raised about answering simple questions in direct fashion, which he failed to do for 11 minutes. (the entirety of the interview)
For the sake of the Australian public trying to understand and even comprehend his existence and followers in this country, and for those of Muslim faith living amongst us who feel they are being ostracised. He needed to answer these questions. He didn't or didn't want to, more to the point. That says it all and what scares me about the likes of him and his follows being present in Australia
Individuals like this are doing great harm to the non radical Muslims who feel that the Australian public are discriminating against their faith.
I suggest and urge all Muslims residing in Australia who oppose the likes of this man and extremists to unite, stand up, protest and march as one and make yourself heard and seen that in no way do you or your faith support any individual like this. I think you would be surprised at the response the Australian public gives you.
'Muslims in Australia since the 1600's'' kaykay, wheres you proof, what a ridiculous statement.
