Election wrap up

ParraFirst have obliterated their opponents tonight with a stunning 7 Parrafirst Directors winning all 7 available seats in this year's League's Club elections.

Over 8000 individual votes were cast and the Parrafirst Directors finished as follows:

Gadiel 730

Garrard 731

Cordwell 661

Issa 687

Gerard 768

Serrao 711

Sharp 821

A stunning vote of confidence for the past 2 years of work of this Board and the members have spoken with a resounding result.

Out of interest the best of the rest were:

Riddell 444

Catterick 432

Johnson 348

Barber 392

Zaiter 309

The rest of the candidates were well below 300 votes.

Despite all the bluff and bravado, misinformation, publicity stunts, garbage on campaign websites, aggressive behaviour on this site, anything and everything to bring this club into disrepute the 7 ParrafIrst candidates still managed a comprehensive victory.

A message to 2P and 3P. The members have spoken and now it is time for each of you to accept the result and stand aside. You've all had your chance and in case you didn't hear it, the members do not want you representing them at Board level. Time to accept the result and get behind the club and its administration.

  • Good result. Glad my vote wasn't wasted. Hopefully the board can look at initiating some constitutional changes to prevent some of these same problems occuring every 2 years.

  • HUGE CONGRATS TO ALL MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF 1EE, this site has a HUGE influence dont worry about that, everybody whos made the effort on here for so long to see our clubs a better one, and headed up by the right people, im seriously proud of you all, you all know who you are, awesome stuff.

Its still a worry that guys like riddell can get 400 votes but we all predicted that as theres a percentage of our fans who are inbred dopes, the exact same fools that voted for spagnolo and egj, and fitz supports, they are the most toxic block the clubs ever seen and imo should be ashamed of themselves for being responsible for the hole the club found itself in.

    • Here here snake and muttman.

    • Well said Snake. I am really proud to call myself a member on this site and before I joined I didn't realise how much positive influence IEE can have on the direction of our club, today was proof. We have fun and games and some great clashes between members but we all united on this one because we are Blue and Gold.

Big shout out to all of you who voted. We can all say we are doing our bit for the club and I wouldn't under estimate how many votes were mustered from members of this site which led to today's result.

  • So I wonder how the media will now turn this into a negative for Parra. There's so many non Parra media types that love Parra struggling with instability. We do have to win games to at least have a chance of the media reporting positively about us. Some might say who gives a shet about what they say but I do think it has a lot of swing in whether a player is 50/50 of coming to us. Legends of other clubs can get in the ears of a young prospect & state what the media are always portraying. We need someone in the media defending us against the deck heads that over the last month have created false turmoil!
  • This is an outstanding result. It's not a great surprise that an ex footballer (Riddell) achieved a share of the votes. He was a recognisable name to people who don't follow the politics.
I'd like to add to Snakes comments. There were people on this site who helped with the election behind the scene and at the club. They haven't talked rhemselves up. They just got the job done. A big thanks to all of you.
    • Lets not forget Phil Sim who has provide the forum for the light to shone upon the imposters.

      Congratulations to all

  • could not have said it better myself

  • STABILITY!!!!!!!!

  • Well done to Steve Sharp's team. Glad to see everyone on the ticket got up. Hopefully this sends a very clear message to the knockers. A big thanks for a fine campaign Mr. Sim. Run with integrity and class.

"Guymer is a younger version of what de Belin is here for. Cleaning up the middle with 2nd and 3rd man in attempts, get through work and do your share in attack. Guymer can definately do that."

"Yep agree. Though clubs like Canberra and Brisbane do it and did well, i just do not like it. I don't mind doing what BA did in between 2020-2022, where he would have Mahoney play 80 each week but then around Round 8-10 he would bring in like…"
