Great in the sense that he thought run first, when he had to pass it was clean & crisp, and when he had to kick it was on target.
Is he the second coming of Cliff Lyons ?
At this stage, clearly not. But we don't need him to be, we need him to do exactly what he did last night, cold drops aside.
His defence is first class, he's probably the best defensive half in the league, especially when you take into account his cover defence. Everyone gives Gutho huge credit for our scramble, and rightly so, but go back watch how many times number 6 is there to make the tackle from behind, allowing Gutho to back off and stay alive. It happened against the Broncos, against the Storm & last night. He comes up with great defensive plays every game.
You listen to Joey, Sterlo, JT, Lockyer, Freddie, Cronk, all the great halves of the past and they'll tell you that if your halves are confident in their defence, everything else flows from that.
Ok Brett, i just moved my recliner closer to the TV, hurting my back in the progress, I found the old spectacles and put them on, I closed the blinds and rewatched the game closely. mmmmmmmmm NUP still not convinced he was third best on the ground.
Happy to admit though that he must be close to the best defensive 5/8 in the comp. But in attack, nah he is struggling to dominate.
"Actually i wrote a sentence along the lines of identifying them on the basis of making sure that question did not arise and then deleted because even then it had implications.
As I write this I am tempted to say who the other two are but then, that…"
"Daz, a brilliant blog. Pure genius.
History, the ladder, the bookies, form says Raiders should win comfortably. At GIO, we’re lost 11 of the last 13 v Raiders. We’ve lost the last 3-straight against them & conceded 91 points in the last 2 games.…"
"Gedday mate.
I was saying to Hoey in a conversation during the week that you are in the top 3 most intelligent posters on here.
The discourse your taking on here is a big ask and as you know, I am not a great fan of statistics and in some way's…"

The same one as you, but I just watched more closely.

Dylan,s timing is off. His should draw the man before passing. .He has soft hands but his timing is not right. His defense is very good
