Eels vs Raiders decided by Refs

If ever there was a game decided by poor refereeing decisions, this would be it.With such a tight contest any penalty or call would weight heavily. I point to two in the game which decided the outcome.Firstly Kenny Edwards being penalised on the 5th for interference in the ruck which in the following set led to 6 points for the Raiders. On replay it showed the man playing the ball contacted Kenny's knee leading him to loose the ball.Secondly Jarrod Crocker got tackled on own 30m and lost the ball. Yet this wasn't called despite the commentators calling this as a massive stuff up.Great game to watch but FFS we were dudded

  • when are the refs ever on Parra's side? are then any examples of any game where the rub of the green is in our favour? BA should chuck a Robinson and bitch to the Refs association about it.

    • 100% agree bro
    • Last one I remember was clearly In our favour we won 74-4
  • Have to agree with both instances. The commentators even commented that the Edwards penalty was a 50/50 call. The second was definitely a knock on by Croker and that was also picked up by the commentator in particular Andrew Voss who actually said the referee had the whistle in his mouth but then changed his mind.
The refereeing in the NRL is an absolute disgrace!
  • The ref actually put the whistle in his mouth and then didn't blow it. Wtf is the point of 4 on field officials and a hitech bunker if they can't pick up something everyone watching saw.
  • Out of all the refs Ben Cummins is the last ref I would have for Eels games, I think he still has a grudge against the eels, from when Chris Sandow asked him how much he was getting paid?
  • Crocker losing the ball with the NRL chairman in refs ear telling him not to blow the whistle for an Eels scrum feed. Fucking amazing and in plain sight. Jennings got hit high but but no penalty. Raiders elbow knocked the ball from Tepai's grip and an Eels scrum should have eventuated. The Edwards 5th tackle penalty for knee on the ball was complete and utter bullshit  Refs won the game for the Raiders tonight.

  • We were in it but it really showed us where we are. We competed but we are 10-13 in terms of ladder. We need some punch from our props, Mannah and Matagi aren't big enough. Our back row is awesome. I think Moses and Norman will be great. Not sold on French as a fullback. Cooper Cronk for two years would be the difference. He's a winner. No one in our team comes from a winning culture( maybe Jennings)
    • and Jennings hates parra.
    • He doesn't play like he does
