Eels vs Manly 3, 2, 1

No doubt the better team won but that was not a finals worthy performance. How many tries did Manly murder? Score flattered us a bit IMO. Anyway, we're in the finals and I never thought we'd finish 5th.

Special mention to Jennings what a huge turnaround for him after last year. Well done.

    • You really have to watch our first half Nitram we were pretty spec some of our best footy all year...even  Alvaro played really well too.

Maybe you can work our after watching the first half how Tapou got only ten mins...doubt anyone else can?

      • Macy unable to watch the game but listened to a fair bit on the radio, when Stone was hit high each of the commentators were thinking it would be a send off, automatic suspension, but on review there was also pretty much a unified agreement that Stone was actually falling sideways a bit and down, as a restul Tapou's arm got him firstly on the shoulder then around the jaw/neck. Watching it on replay from the highlights, it was certainly a bin and report penalty.

Thing was and it impressed me a bit was Tapou's response, he landed on his side & butte facing the eels end of the field and Stone was lying behind him, Tapour looked around with, which I thought was a sort of wonderment of what the heck has happened, when he looked around and saw Stone lying flat as he was, he pretty much got to Stone and tried to help him. and stayed down a bit with him until the trainers and all got there.

It really impressed me with his attitude and concern for another person/player not in his own team, he accepted the bin with his head down. He's a tough and hard player and I don't believe he's a dirty player like some others around it was something good to see.

        • I thought the punishment at the time was sufficient, no where near as bad as it seemed.
