Last Four Encounters:
1. Dragons 20 def Eels 18 Win Stadium – Round 16, 2018
2. Eels 24 def Dragons 10 ANZ Stadium – Round 15, 2017
3. Eels 34 def Dragons 16 Win Stadium – Round 2, 2017
4. Eels 30 def Dragons 18  Pirtek Stadium – Round 25, 2016

The Eels go into this match off a win against the Titans meanwhile the Dragons have lost four of their last five and dropped from first to fifth.

Parramatta have made a number of changes with Corey Norman shifting to fullback, Gutherson to the centres, Jaeman Salmon to five-eighth and Will Smith onto the bench. Tim Mannah has also been ruled out of the side due to a broken hand with Kane Evans moving to the starting side and Gower going to the bench.

The Dragons meanwhile have had Paul Vaughan ruled out while Jason Nightingale is replaced by Nene MacDonald, Tyson Frizell moves to the front-row, Luciano Leilua to the starting side and Leeson Ah Mau has dropped back to the bench.

This is a danger game for the Red V as they currently sit outright fifth and a loss here could see them miss the top four. The Eels should have had the wood over them when they met earlier in the year but coughed up a lead to go down 20-18 at WIN Stadium.

  • Good start for the Eels with their Jersey Flegg side winning 34-16 while featuring a couple of 17 year olds after six players were promoted to ISP.

    • A good 9 makes a bid difference
  • Guys I think we will win this one.

We should have won the last game as we were the better side for 70mins but the pressure is now off us, the boys can go out & have some fun, throw the ball around to see what happens.

Princess is in really good form, Gutho is also in good form, ole Dozy can have some fun at the back, Moses can assume the dominant half role & ole Sockeye can make the most of whats in front of him. The Pigs look strong & even ole Fairy Floss seems to have found his ticker.

Even BA has a new lease of life after a McDope resuscitation.

Ahhhh the euphoric hope of winning.

  • Eels by 6

  • Eels please win.
  • Thank heavens we are not wearing stupid pink jerseys
    • Id suggest they'd look better than the ones we are wearing Ken.

  • Nice try, well done boys.

Mahoney reminds me of Ricky Stuart from dummy half.

The way he delivers the ball, the way hes always alert and looking around, even the way he runs a bit.

Nice delivery from the kid, hes looking promising.

      • Think hes guilty of trying to wrap up the ball when hes first in sometimes, youre right he needs to get lower.

Made 53 tackles last week so he has a high work load.

Imo hookers need to be watched and assessed long term, too early for me to call, theres too many subtile aspects of hooker that only time will tell us, he looks to have the basics though.

        • They coach them to hit and wrap to lock the ball up but Mahoney should be cutting guys in half. McInnes also has a high workrate. Mahoney though looks to have a good measure between attack and defence whereas Kaysa had absolutely no regard for his body in defence and it affected his attack.
