You can't just blame JA. He didn't get any go-forth by the forwards. We got carved up in the middle too and that's on their backs. Shit house the lot. None deserve an NRL jersey on that performance. Nathan Brown too was rubbish.
We all bash Jake enough but he's not ready for first grade and there's doubts he ever will be .
Watched the game today , we were pretty average . Jake just going through the game plan motions of high kick to the corners although his 'high kick 'isn't high enough to not hit the ground and run dead. Very average player who isn't close to being a first grader.
We are one of the best sides. But that doesn't necessarily mean we have one of the best top 30 squads. We really, I mean really, like massively, more than it may even seem, need our starting players to stay fit or things will change very quickly indeed.
Jakes defence was diabolical. Again not here to bash him. Hes a NSW Cup player and faces more scrutiny than others.. but its only because if the NRL side actually needs him to come off the bench and play any sort of meaningful role we are absolutely screwed. For anyone who doesnt want to believe it watch the highlights of the Dogs breaks. His inability to move and read the play was at the centre of almost all of them.
The thing is Halves that are on the cusp of NRL dominate NSW Cup. It's miles off NRL level. Most of those halves have deficiencies in their game that stop them taking the next step and doing the same at NRL level. Jake doesn't dominate Cup. He doesnt elevate our club side at all. You could debate if we even go better with him in it. He does some nice things, some oridinary things and sometimes he looks off the pace at that level. He's not someone you would watch their NSW Cup game tape and say this bloke is a fringe first grader. He should be learning his trade there not playing back up hooker in NRL. We've all banged on and on about it but heaven help us if we actually need him to come on and play off the bench. The Arthurs have dodged a huge bullet to date picking him on the becnh with a bunch of non competitive games so he can have a 10 min run (where coincidentally we always fall away rapidly)

They did carve up that right edge.
Did any Of the boys play well? Maybe captain coach wasn't such a good idea

Where did naiduki player?
Think he's been out for awhile now
Useless performance. No go forward and no defence at all. This player-coach experiment should now end.
