Eels v cowboys for wooden spoon

Why the fuck would we play a home game against the cowboys in the NT , they aren’t called North Queensland cowboys for nothing, they will be climatised to 30 degrees + night games , we should of worked that out last year & played a team like Canberra or Melbourne in the N T !!!

    • Hey mate you never know if we win the next 11 out of 13 we can still make the 8

    • And I bet the khunts making up the draw were urinating themselves from laughing while they decided to pick who our opponent would be. "Let's give the Eels an opponent that will give them the absolute least advantage in the NT". "Yeah, yeah, that'll be a laugh, let's do that".

      • Actually we are the ones who chose the Cowboys,  it's not the NRL at all it's our clueless management.

    • Wrong Alan. The NRL contacts clubs and a club has to agree to the travel and expenses associated. I hazard a guess only the cowboys agreed due to close proximity to home.
  • They’ll only be about 100 people turning up based upon both teams performance and current positions on the ladder.

  • I live in Darwin - it's the dry season - it will be perfect weather for footy - a few weeks ago your fears may have been fair
  • We would win hands down as we seem to be good at picking up spoons.

  • I am curious - why have the Cowboys had less column space and commentary on their disastrous start to their season than eels?

FFS they were grand finalists and sit 2 pts ahead of the eels yet there are no calls for investigations, sacking of the coach, sacking of the squad etc etc.

    Different folks different strokes

    • Da Rock it is because they have a worse team than us bud; and maybe something called agenda against the current coaching staff and board? who knows. Thurston, Scott, Taumaolo, Bolton, Morgan, Coote...not a bad team and am sure they can improve
