Eels to be either 6th or 5th! Depending on Score!

After the conclusion of this weekend the Eels will either remain in 6th position on the NRL Ladder (even if they lose), unless they get totally thrashed by a huge score at the hands of Manly and if they can beat Manly tomorrow then they will jump into 5th place (if they can win by a good score) on the NRL Ladder!  Its just as well the Sharks and the Knights were beaten this weekend as its definitely helped the Eels cause. It wil be a difficult challenge for the Eels to get victory tomorrow but not impossible. The home ground advantage will be in the Sea Eagles favour BUT IF the Eels can niggle the Manly players it may just upset their rhythm and get the Eels home. I think they have to target DCE and put him off his game and then the other Manly. Players seem to crumble!

    • Anything can happen Slugg with this current team and system! Nothing would surprise me!

  • You stated in the other blog that it would be a miracle (your exact wording) if we beat Manly. Now you are saying it will be a difficult challenge but if we can niggle them we may get home. Have you been praying?

    • It's just one of those games Adam, I've been in three minds about this game all week. At our best, we can get the job done, at our worst, the score line could be anything, at our average, the rub of the green will be the deciding factor.

I can see where Slugg is coming from, this is a game where nothing would surprise me.

      • There's no doubt that this is our most difficult game left on our schedule. If we're gonna lose one this'll be it. If we win it though, it really sets up our run home.

    • Well a niggle can be part of the process that enables a miracle to transpire. To be honest I don't really think God is that interested in football but more in saving the lost. Nevertheless, time will tell by 6pm tomorrow evening.

      • Are you there Hell On Eels? Here's one for your list of quotes etc. "Well a niggle can be part of the process that enables a miracle to transpire". No doubt you are a work in progress Monts - comedic gold.

  • We won’t win

    • Ok I might give game a miss then. Cheers

      • Haha, fuck that nothing more satisfying than beating manly. I’ve been waiting all week for this.

  • Monto  Souths game now finished and with their win they move to 2nd on 26 points .

Manly ( 5th ) and Parra ( 6th ) are both on 20 points so if Parra win tomorrow even by 1 point then Parra move to 5th place and ( then with 22 points ) would only be 2 points behind 3rd place teams Raiders and Roosters !!! ,

And yes ,  if Parra lose they will remain 6th . Go the mighty eels !!!
