Why Smith at 18? Total waste of space.
Any comment I see from this bloke does my head in!! Total waste when it is a trial and all 27 players will play? He is in our top 30 like it or not, I agree I don't want to see him near our first grade team but he won't be unless required to be. It is a fecking trial move on. Stop commenting just to be negative for no reason, if there is a reason to be go hammer and tongs, if there isn't shut the feck up
i'll drive Salmon back to Cronulla myself
i rate ray stone, tough , resilient, can play
Hopefully Field takes whatever spot Smith holds
I agree Mack, i think it was a case of just trying to get through the sets, i'm hoping anyway. Either way i'm not worried about the season ahead, not yet at least.
Reasonably happy overall, one concern was too many unforced errors and we played with a lack of direction in attack but that could have been a case of just trying to get through the sets.
Salmon is not a centre, defensively he is just not good enough to plat that position, in the past i have pushed for him to be tried there but i have changed my mind.
Will Smith should not be an option for a replacement in any position, i thnk it is time we move in another direction if the need be.
If Terepo could only just elliminate his unforced errors he could be a permanent first grader.
Niukore locked down a bench spot and was probably the most impressive forward in the game for us.
Moses looked really good, should go close to being Dally M winner this season.
Matterson was quiet, still looks a bit heavy for my liking, hoping he is going to taper down a bit for the season.
I do have some concerns about Sivo, he doesn't seem to be right, the charges against him are having an effect but if he doesn't get it together Dunster looks ready for first grade.
Great Analysis HKF!
Salmon is definitely not a centre. He'll be a solid backup for Brown if he goes down.
Its hard to believe will Smith is top 30. That try scored by the Penrith forward when he was one on one with smith showed his weakness in d. He's been around long enough to have read that better than that.
Niukore just keeps getting better. Has ball skills as well. We could do worse than starting with him and have Lane off the bench
was impressed with Cambell- Gillard was good in both attack and defence. Can not understand why extended Smith and Terrepo, both should of been moved on. Thought Dunster and Kaufusi played well but from what I saw Utoikamanu should of been let go early instead of taking up a top 30 spot. Except for Tamou panthers forwards were small and thought our forwards should of steam rolled them. Only a trial so we will just have to wait and see but did not take a lot of conferdence out of that trial.
Kikau wasn't out there. He weighs 120 kgs. A few positions still up for grabs at Panthers including 1 and 6.
