Parramatta has beaten off Manly and Gold Coast to snare Penrith prop Suaia Matagi.
The former New Zealand international appeared headed to Manly but negotiations broke down, opening the door for rivals to pounce.
Parramatta offered a handsome two-year-deal and the Titans came late with a three-year offer.
Matagi's preference was to stay in Sydney and he has agreed to the Eels offer.
An official announcement is expected soon.
It's a very handy pick-up for the blue and golds, who are also likely to add fellow Kiwi international Frank Pritchard to their books.

Source is sportingnews. I'll wait for something more concrete.
I think he'll be our starting prop with Tim Mannah
There's no chance matagi will be playing Wentworthville.
