Eels sign NT teenager

PARRAMATTA'S recruitment drive continues to roll along after the club signed Darwin teenager Bradley Hansen. A quick check of the records revealed he's not the first Northern Territorian to join the Eels - that honour goes to the spectacularly named ball-player Ernie Wanka, who played reserve grade in the 1970s.

glad they are spreading outside of sydney and going after the young ones, just hope we dont do all the work and then at about 24 in his prime some other club signs him

i remember the good old days of the Wanka! he wanted to play inside the hooker at the time, but they stuck him out on the wing! we all know the wingers have alot of time out there!
