The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have today announced the signing of Michael Gordon for the 2016 season.
The winger and fullback will join the club in November for the 2016 pre-season on a one-year deal.
Gordon has played 165 NRL games over a decade-long career at the Penrith Panthers and Cronulla Sharks, and has also played representative football for the NSW Blues and Country Origin.
“Michael is an experienced player and a quality fullback who will bring talent and expertise to our back line, and he deserves the opportunity to be playing in an NRL side,” Head Coach Brad Arthur said.
“Not only is he talented on the field, but his leadership will be valuable for the emerging young players in our squad.”

That's sorts out the goal kicking problem once Sandow moves on
Would prefer him now, plus who is going to kick goals when he gets injured. But finally a old player getting signed for a proper length of contract, about bloody time!
Fantastic signing. Allows us to give French time if he needs it but if he's ready then we can move Mick to the wing and play French at fullback. Also gives us a handy goal-kicker.
Hey ham whats your thoughts on giving bevan some timetime on the wing next year and allow him and gordan to switch at times to get some experience under his belt, similar to the rts/mino roosters combo. Havent seen enough of him to knw if thatll be too much for him
The spine is looking pretty set for next year.
One thing is for sure, we are going to play a very different style of footy in 2016.
Good/decent signing. Would have been better if it could have worked out for the remainder of this year + next year. I guess We may as well throw someone else at Fullback for the rest of this year then. Norman will clearly stay at 6 now. he must have pics of someone to keep getting his way at 6
LOL Give it up mate. Easily the best half we have at the club but he will play in the number 7 jersey next year.
