Eels sign former Warriors Coach Nathan Brown

Im hearing that the Eels have signed former Warriors coach Nathan Brown.

It appears that management are going to fix the problem of our junior pathway systems, believing that our Eels catchment area should be performing a lot better then it currently does. Its reported that there has been a huge disconnect between the senior teams and the junior system of late, The Eels management have recognised this and are now putting in place Nathan Brown to fix the broken junior pathways at Parramatta.

  • This is right up Nathan Browns alley, he has shown some real talent in fixing broken systems and putting broken clubs on the correct path.

A position like this would be one of Nathan Browns strengths I would  think and can only help our club looking forward.

      • I was thinking the same Frankie. I know Brown had a lot of locals come through at Newcastle, but I can't recall much talent in the first grade team.

          • I can't argue with any of that, we should be doing infinitely better than what we are. The early 2000's were great for us, it felt like every year we had a couple of juniors that were absolute stars.

We haven't had any success with our juniors since the 2005-2007 crop. Gotta say since then it's been rubbish.

Was it all Brian Smith? Was it from Fitzy?

        • I think BE is taking the piss and has set you guys up!

            • I no it won't happen but Daniel Anderson would be the one I'd be contacting. He was around when Brian smith had all juniors firing.

              • Think he's been red penned by our club after the salary cap stuff.  He was a fall guy , pretty fitting how guys like Ando and Peter O Sulivan end up at the Roosters after being outed as salary cap Rorters . It's almost like Uncle Nick wants people around he knows are willing to rort the cap.

Id actually hunt down Brian Smith myself.

          • Well to be fair, it does sound like something dumb the club would do. But if it's a stitch up... we'll done... you got me 👏

      • Tounge in cheek mate - I couldnt believe this was being reported this morning.  so I really dont know Frankie, to be sensible for a moment, to me he has been an absolute failure as a coach especially in Australia. Im gobsmacked to be honest, I would actually suggest that Nathan Brown leaves a club in exactly the same position he found them or in a worse position.

I couldnt find any form in relation to Junior  pathways , nor why our management would go down this route. I thought we were after success, and thats not really what Nathan Brown has offered to NRL clubs previously. Medicority would appear the order of the day.

God help our Junior system if we are relying on Nathans reputation.

  • Imagine this is true , Another ex Hooker on our payroll 😂,  so we will also have

    Mcgregor

    Brown

    Rodger Ramjet chin Woolford

We may as well grab Barrett too and have the full team of Dragons failures

Fuck Ennis was a Dragon too ffs .

    • mmmmmmm whats our connection to all these former St George  players, anybody know.
