Eels set new Membership record

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have set a club Membership record for the third consecutive year, hitting a new high of 20,436 Members today.

The figure surpasses the 2014 final tally of 20,312 only eight rounds into the 2015 season.

“It’s fantastic to see the support from the Blue and Gold Army grow so rapidly year on year, and is testament to the hard work of our Membership team behind the scenes,” Parramatta Eels CEO Scott Seward said.

“Our Members are very much part of the Eels family and in our opinion, the best in the NRL, and I want to thank all of them for their commitment to making our club bigger and better.”

Full-season Membership is still available, with prices reduced to reflect the 10 home games and reciprocal entry games remaining in the Eels’ 2015 season.

“This is a great result for our club, but we’re not content to just sit around the 20,000 mark, we are now looking to our target of 25,000 Members over the rest of the season,” Seward said.

As Membership continues to grow, Seward said the club would continue to push to deliver the best possible Membership experience, which includes a full upgrade to Parramatta’s Pirtek Stadium for ticketed Members.

“While we’re very glad Pirtek Stadium is currently receiving a much-needed 4,000 seat upgrade, as our Membership base increases, a full upgrade is required to best cater for our supporter base over the years to come.”

“Establishing a Member Council this year, which includes a complete cross-section of our supporter base, has led to even better dialogue with our Members, and we have received plenty of feedback that will improve our Membership packages for both ticketed and non-ticketed Members.”

Membership for the remaining 10 games starts from $90 for adults and $180 for families sitting in general admission, and $210 for adults with grandstand seating.

Packages are also available for regional NSW, interstate and international Members to show their support for the Blue and Gold.

"Some players need to get sacked from a club and risk losing it all before they really knuckle down and put in the work.  Why did he get sacked, was it lack of discipline for footy and training or off field issues?"
