LOL
The competition needs Parramatta to be in the final. And they need to have them finishing 5th or 6th for a home final.
NRL needs Parramatta, we get the crowds and people watching.
Bankwest will be a sellout if we get a home final. Its what the NRL needs. Refs on our side for the remaining competition...
This would be very true.
Agree 100%! There needs to be an investigation into the investigation. How many times over the last decade or more have Parramatta been at the pointy end of bad ref decisions, inconsistent punishments at the judiciary, been pinged, fined and lost points for salary cap infringements, had a grsnd final loss to drug cheats and rorters?? We have one game where we win the penalty count and get a dew narginal call go our way (and there were some rhat didn't!!!!) and now the sky is falling in.
Hope we don't get slaughtered by the refs this week in an attempt to balance the ledger
The point is though Brissy, Parra are supposed to make up the numbers at the bottom half of the ladder. We are currently taking up spots for the elite teams. Even Brisbane are out of the 8 - that will never do!
x2 the blatant calls that didn’t go our way. Who wants to defend us publicly?
as Hell On Eels stated here: https://www.1eyedeel.com/forum/topics/r19-comment-a-brief-history-o...
The majority of penalties were for Dangerous Tackles and Strips. If that weren’t the case they surely would have had a few more offsides.
STIFF SHIT
BREAKING NEWS
The NRL has stood down 4 refs for giving the Eels the rub of the green in their match against the warriors. Gus Gould wants an investigation into how something like this could happen. Steve Kerney has requested the rules of the game are changed so the Eels never have an advantage like that again.
In the post match interview Steve Kerney said:
Yeah for me it was a very strange game because the refs seemed to favor the Eels which we certainly didn't prepare for. I don't recall seeing the knock on from my boys but that forward pass from the best player in the universe Roger should of been let go. We didn't try to earn possession of the ball as all we did was try to steal it but the refs didn't seem to understand the ball should of been ours regardless, I mean hell it was the Eels we were playing so how the hell didn't we get all the 50/50's.
This could certainly be the darkest day in NRL history, just ahead of the sharks drug program.
Todd Greenberg has responded to the incedent saying they could look at docking any points earnt by the Eels so far this season for their blatant disregard of the warriors feelings.
This is the biggest overreaction to a game I have ever seen.
What a bunch of WANKERS.
Best comment in a while Jim - bravo!
HAAHAHA.
Legit has requested a rule change because we had an ‘apparent advantage’. As long as you preface what you are saying with what you are, that is, a “whinging coach”, you can get away with saying just about anything.
”I DON’T WANT TO SOUND LIKE A WHINGING COACH, HOWEVER..”
The truth is even some media agree the pass was fine and the performance wasn't as bad as made out yet they are being drowned out by others. Ben Ikin and even Paul Kent last night on 360 tried saying it was foward but Buzz rothfield wouldn't let them speak.
No coincidence his side is outside the 8 and he needs teams to drop out of the 8 to make it. Same with brad fittler on channel 9 Sunday footy show. He tried say foward pass but they moved on pretty quick.
Gus Gould caried on last night on his show but still has ties to penrith and wants to see them succeed so Parra losing would have been better result than than them winning to help ensure Penrith have better chance of top 8 and home final.
