Eels Round 6 and 7 Games Scheduled

NRL has released the next 2 matches.

Round 6 - Eels vs Bunnies at ANZ - Sunday 18 April 3pm. This match should be billed highly by Parramatta as it (should be) Hindy's match playing record for most games for the Eels. So there should be a massive crowd out there to say thanks for his services for in the Blue and Gold.

Round 7 - Eels vs Cowboys at Dairy Farmers - Friday 23 April 7.35pm

The Souths game is our first home game at ANZ. What a shit that Hindy is playing a home game away from home.
How special would it off been for Hindy to play on home soil as the most capped eel in history.
How special for the fans to also be at home.

That aside - It should be a good game. I hope we get 30/35k

I live in Cairns and will definitely be travelling down to Townsville for the Cowboys 23 match. If you haven't been before, Dairy Farmers Stadium is a great ground to watch the footy from and the trip to Townsville makes for a good weekend away. Always a good crowd and plenty of atmosphere. Just be prepared for plenty of heckling from the locals. All in good fun. They love their footy and their beer, which can make for a long wait at the beer stands. I used to live in Townsville so anyone looking for some info I'm only too happy to assist.

I'll be back to you mafia,being a friday night a pain as have to take a day off ,or at least a half day ,but really want to check out townsville ..

Yeah no worries Parraloft. I would have preferred Saturday night too. I'll have to leave early Friday now. Four hours drive from Cairns. Jetstar and Virgin both fly into Townsville if you are coming from Sydney. Probably best to stay in town and get the shuttle bus to and from Cowboys Leagues club, which is right in the centre of Townsville. The bus ride is about 20 mins each way but a lot less hassle than driving out to the ground. Magnetic Island is a 10 minute ferry ride from Townsville and is a great place for a day trip. Anyway, let me know if you need more info. If you come, maybe we can catch up for a beer.

Because I'm an hour away from Townsville i was really glad to see the eels game was on a friday night which means we can see them in the morning after the game

Well I have booked my flight,arriving townsville 4.30 ,so who fancies meeting up for a pre match beer and maybe coordinating seats ?
