        • Agree Tank, all roads lead to the Newcastle Knights - we are just joining the dots

          • BA makes obvious sense for Newcastle, but he literally just re-signed a contract extension 2 weeks ago with very strong assurances given to Leads that he'll stick it out next season.

Bad timing, but I think BA had his eyes on the Perth gig and when that fell through he started trying to secure his future for another year.

Also with AOB and BA being close I doubt the Knights would have sounded BA out prior to sacking AOB.

Who knows, contracts mean nothing in sports, but BA will have to seriously burn a bridge if he wants to return to Aus next season.

    • Yeah it's a bit bullshit they can just sit their team out , but I guess that's the joys of being up top.  They've done it every year and it's worked for them. I hate the cunts , but can't criticise them for saving their stars from injury leading into the semis.  The real question is , how did the bookies find out ? Inside trading 101 , there's a legal investigation here that everyone's missing.

Bookies playing outside of the rules. And someone at Penriths selling information.

Corrupt as fuck game , run by a corrupt as fuck organisation, with teams and players throwing games and influencing outcomes.  It's poking its head up at the moment.

Best thing we can do is disconnect the Kayo, watch your team play if we must and then don't watch or click on another NRL related article again.

      • yep. Nrl running a meaningful investigation into this itself is not gonna happen. 3rd party audit time. Chips fall where they may

    • I remember us doing the same about 2020-21 ish against the panthers leading into the finals also.As we had the panthers first up I think it was that 8-4 game where the trainer came on the field and stopped the game while we hot on attack late in the game.

  • If they play to the standard of last week, this should be an easy win. However, you just know complacency will creep in.

Warriors have looked ordinary since they lost Barnet and Metcalf. Since then, they've only beaten the Tigers, Titans and St George.  They only beat St George because they lost 3 forwards in the first 15 minutes. They also lost a game to the Titans since those injuries.

    • Starting to get a good sample size of how the team looks with Moses in it. 5 games since return won 3 of 5 and the 2 losses both winnable games. Great outlook for next year just needs to stay healthy

    • Yep, they won 10 / 13 to start the season. Were Second. Since then, they've struggled won 4 / 9.  Clinging on to fourth but vulnerable.

Losing Metcalf/ Barnett seems to have hit. They were also a better team with Walker even if Erin Clark has stepped up. Boyd was good for them last week but jury's still out on him.

Won't be an easy game. We've struggled away 2/10. Better at Commbank winning 6/12.

  • We win this easy i think. The warriors are finished.

  • This game will be a good test. It's not easy playing in Auckland.
