  • Ah man, i knew it was far away but this just makes it feel even further lol.

    • its a long time but when you say its only 9 and a bit weeks it sound a bit better

  • This timer needs to be on the main page instead of the nothing story of Grothe Snr and his non appointment to the board.

    Well done IKWT

  • My team for Round 1 is:

    1. Hayne

    2. Burt

    3. Smith

    4. W.Tonga

    5. E.Tonga

    6. Roberts

    7. Sandow

    13. Maitau

    12. Lasalo

    11. Hindmarsh

    10. Poore

    9. Keating

    8. T.Mannah

    14. McGuire

    15. Horo

    16. Moi Moi

    17. Shacks

I'd start Moi Moi off the back for the first few games for two reasons.  Firstly he is our best forward impact play and you need your bench to be impact players, players that can lift the team instantly.  Secondly, Moi Moi is 32 going on 33 years of age and I would prefer Fui to miss the first 20 minutes being the fastest part of the game.  Horo also showed last year he is a better bench impact player then starting player.  McGuire covers 9,7,6 and it is preferred not to play your hookers for 80 minutes.  Shacks and Allgood are on par, but I think Shacks showed late in the seasson they may appears to be getting strength and speed back in his injured leg.  Shacks appeared a lot more mobile in his last two or three games.  With a full off season Shacks could be as good as Timmy Mannah or dare I say it the Fui.

    • smith in the centres makes your team terrible

He is not a centre anymore and struggled last year (as did our attack when Smith & Horo switched). Its backrow for Smith or wenty. No other option

      1. Hayne

      2. Burt

      3. W Tonga

      4. E Tonga/Morgan

      5. Sio

      6. Roberts

      7. Sandow

      8. Mannah

      9. Maguire

      10. Moi Moi

      11. Hindy

      12. Smith

      13. Maitua

      14. Keating

      15. Poore

      16. Allgood

      17. Horo/Lasalo/Shack

    • Have to disagree about Shackleton.  Good character, nice to have him around the team, but I can't look past Allgood.  His strength and stature will also offer something a bit different; Shackleton, Moi Moi, Mannah and Poore are all very similar.

I'd expect Poore to be the one in the position of being 'dropped', with Johnny Mannah challenging for his position if he doesn't make an impact.
