This is the heading of an article in the Sun Herald July 10. Its quite an interesting read as apparently Greenburg rang Brad Arthur & offered to tell the coaching staff & players the decision prior to it being announced publicly. It goes on to say that both he & the players declined the offer, as they felt that meeting him would do nothing to ease their frustrations over what has transpired.
It reports that Greenburg believed the players were entitled to a face to face explanation. The reality however is said that the players had had a sour taste in their mouths for some months as they would be sitting inside the top four except for owing to misdemeanours of the clubs hierarchy.,
Greenburg is then said that after speaking to BA & the senior players over this period that they were probably the most resilient group of young footballers I've ever encountered. Their ability to turn up to do a job has been nothing short of phenomenal..
BA went on to say that they have dealt with the disappointment on from it weeks ago the boys have been very resilient, I'm so proud of them the way they keep fronting up & performing each week.
The article goes on to say that the remaining board members aren't in the clear & the NRL has identified the need to change if the eels are going to return to the powerhouse they once were,
This article makes me absolutely proud to be a long term eels supporter, blow the so called being a FAN, its a supporter for me. Why would anyone not be a supporter of these players or the coaching staff, they deserve every bit of support that can be given them for how they have weathered the whole saga.
The above article was not in the edition that goes out to regional areas, even the central coast, but one thing I found in the League section was that the old ladder is still shown, without the removal of the for & against. The NRL ladder has us sitting in 14th spot with a for & against as follows

As far as I'm concerned the table without the deductions will be what I am going to hold on to, even if the NRL does its best to knock us out. To me they deserve to be on top, rather than suffering the ignominy of the board that has shafted them, & that includes the people at the NRL as well.

why would they want to talk to the nrl, friday night was the time greenberge should have joined the eels players inthe sheds in the eels wake party with food and beer, and a good old eels song, they went out winners in the game and wake. united..
this was in my view the proudist moment in the eels past few years going out with a song, beer and a win over the born cheaters with the world greast coach who crys going to bed cry baby you dick head.

The meeting might of went something like this -
GB - good morning boys, great win last night, shame it was all for nothing - like I told you blokes a couple of months ago we are rubbing you blokes out. I know you haven't made the semis in 7 years and you'd like to but u can't cheat like your bad bosses have done.
Parra player(PP) - why can't you just rub the bad guys out and not us ?
GB - well we can't have people running around giving you blokes a bit extra so you can compete in the Comp. we need to know every cent you blokes earn so that it is fair for everyone!
PP - mr GB - are we allowed to know how much the NRL make which is off the back of us?
GB- don't be silly, if you knew that you blokes would want a little bit more slice of the pie! It doesn't work like that. We need to regulate you and control how much you earn collectively so we can continue to make huge profits / it the Jewish way - it's how the world really works!
PP - I see, why don't you at least create a fair system so that the elite players can earn what they are worth by say - marketing merchandise with players numbers on and we could earn a small percentage of the take ? Like Hayne did in the NFL?
GB - don't be silly - if we were to do that you would work out how much we make in merchandise, we can't have that. You need to be controlled so we can maximise our profits - refer to answer above.
PP - but we still don't understand, we haven't made the semis in so long, we have one of the best junior nurseries, a profitable club, a legion of fans and we still can't get anywhere near the top echolon of clubs - and we are cheats?
GB - ok I've said enough, you weren't supposed to ask these questions I came here in good faith to personally drive a stake through your hearts and this is the disrespect you show ! Play hard for the rest of the year boys - we can still make some coin out of you - people love reading about you blokes and for some reason people keep watching you blokes and your fans are big subscribers to Foxtel - so keep it up and goodnight!
That is why I will continually update the ladder showing all the wins of this season.
The NRL can take away the points, & play with the numbers but they cannot take away the clubs wins as well as the new winning culture. That is the way I look at it, & way it will be for here on in.
If there is a loser in all of this, its not the eels team, but I dare to suggest that its at NRL headquarters, along with the corporate boards & journo's at each of the media circus arena's.
