The first game played between the Eels and the Tigers was on May 24th, 1947 at Cumberland Oval, a 12-9 win for the then Balmain Tigers. Wally Woodward scored our only try that day.

There's very little information available on he or any of the players that played in that 1947 side but from what I can gather, ROAE, you are right re: Wally Woodward.
Thought it was only right to incorporate both entities into it and the current entity, Wests Tigers.
They're all a part of the heritage of the club.
It will be indeed.
