Eels Pair Named in U18 Origin

Congratulations to Dyldam Parramatta Eels SG Ball players Tyrell Fuimaono and Alex Twal on their inclusion in the NSW U18 Origin side!

The NSW U18s will take on Queensland as the curtain-raiser to Game Two of the Holden State of Origin series at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday, June 18.

This will be Fuimaono's second appearance for the NSW U18s, and comes off the back of his debut in NYC this year against the North Queensland Cowboys in Round 13.

Twal was also recognised for a stellar season this year with the Parramatta District Representative Teams award for Best Forward in SG Ball.

    So far they're the only two players that have played any more footy for the Eels after the SG Ball season. I'm sure we'll eventually see Bevan French at fullback at some point but I know that the club is banking on John Fomai to recover from his knee surgery.

    Big week for Tyrell, making his debut in the NYC and playing his second consecutive year for the NSW Under 18's. He's one of two players to back up from last year. Here is the initial team announcement but I'm sure that Moeroa and Milne dropped out due to Union commitments.

    He attended Newington College and had a scholarship with them and part of the deal was that he perform union duties before league duties.
