Eels defence is poor. Cartwright looking average. Grieg from the Cowboys going well, as is Penisini. Rankin should get a run in the top grade in my opinion. Can see the Canterbury cup side easily losing this match unless they aim up in defence.

Rankin is a very good reserve grade player but has had plenty of 1st grade games in NRL and Super League and has never set the world on fire
Monto, are we watching the same game? Penisini has been poor in defense. All three Tigers tries involved Penisini defensive misreads, missed or ineffective tackles. Almost a 4th due to Penisini rushing up and taking no-one.

Brissy, apparently "ineffective" tackle is defined by nrl.com stats as a tackle that does not prevent an offload. Penisini is a walking ineffective tackle
