Parramatta to target Broncos prop.
The struggling Eels are set to make giant Brisbane prop Tevita Pangai Junior their main target for 2019.
Parra are clearly being out-muscled up front and see Pangai as a possible answer to their problems.
Newcastle have already signalled their intentions to bring Pangai - a Knights junior - back home.
Brisbane prop Tevita Pangai Junior is a target for Parramatta Eels for 2019.
The big prop is off contract next season and the Broncos will struggle to keep Pangai, given they have a host of players in their top squad, including Jamayne Isaako, Matthew Lodge, Corey Oates, Tom Opacic, Korbin Sims, Sam Tagataese and Sam Thaiday also off contract.
At 22, Pangai is still a baby in front-rower’s terms and has the size and skills to play representative football in coming years.
The Eels are one front-rower short in the eyes of coach Brad Arthur and have made Pangai a priority.
Manly prop to head north
Manly prop Darcy Lussick is set to sign with an English club within the next 40 hours - effective immediately.

RENT - A - TEAM - Because Arthur hasn't produced any development forward debutant since 2015.
Not one single debutant !!! Not one.
Absouloutly Disgraceful coming from the best junior base in the world and we can also pick and choose from other sources like QLD and NSW country areas.
3 years without one forward debutant. - Dopes can say well - there wasn't anyone worhy enough to be given a chance. That's absolute BS because the holden cup sides have been successful in most seasons since 2014, and there's been many touted "future stars" predicted by the so called experts.
What's happening to our development paths? Why aren't getting these players to the next level?
Why is ba favouring old statesmen like Gower, Beu, Williams, F Prichard, Vave, Matagi ect ect.......
Plus, when you enter the player market its an absolute lottery unless you pay massive overs to get a star forward. But there's no guarantees.
We could absolutely be stuck with what we have for a few years without anyone coming through the systems.
Chief firstly who were the touted future stars as you stated.
Fact is there have been some debutants but never let truth stand in way of good story. We also had players like Paulo, Pauli Pauli, Kenny Edwards, Kaysa Pritchard and Peats who were very young.
Look at list of parra players shows their official number and year of debut.
764 Tepai Moeroa 2014
765 Bureta Faraimo 2014
771 John Folau 2015
772 Daniel Alvaro 2015
773 Cody Nelson 2015
776 Clint Gutherson 2016 not junior but very young in career.
779 Bevan French 2016
780 Rory O'Brien 2016
Some are not juniors but came from other junior systems as you have mentioned we should buy from as well. Yes some even played couple games elsewhere but recruitment is a lottery. When look at overall picture there reasons for everything.
Yes there not a huge stack there but seemed to stop after 2016. Salary cap scandal hit. Unable promote players due to cap restraints.
Along comes 2017. We recruited Brown, Auvua and Moses along with few others. Made the top 4 as well if I remember correctly. We came top 4 and finished season very well considering our table position prior to round 10. Why would BA promote young players to top 4 side. Are they better then what we have. Some players left as we didn't pay over value as we had in the past.
During BA time we also had Watmough Danny Wicks, Michael Gordon, Reece Robinson, Frankie Pritchard and other experienced players he bought in to help the younger players already in the side. Their development as I said got us to top 8 (if didn't lose points) and top 4. Seems like not promoting juniors just for sake of it has worked.
Tell me what you would do differently.
Seems like Dope and Bush is the most used words in this site.
Chief ,
I understand your frustration but c'mon man.. your obsession is becoming unhealthy.
Also, in your previous posts, you criticised Ba for not going after Mclean or Asofa Solomona etc.
Now he is and you still arent happy
