Eels in Bollywood

I can't remember who it was that mentioned they had heard Parra were trying to get sponsorship in India.  Well they weren't far off the mark.  Ozzie has jsut returned from Mumbai were he signed a Bollywood movie star to help recruit the Indian community in Parramatta/Harris Park to become members.

  • This is the sort of 'outside-the-box' thinking that Dennis Fitzgerald was simply incapable of!
  • My work colleague says this bollywood star is a south indian and most Indians living around Harris Park/Parra are from Nth India who clash. I guess anything helps though and is the sorts of things to get people together
    • LOL EPIC FAIL! hahha i hope it works...
  • It also says in the article that they are trying to recruit VVS Laxmann to help out
  • I think Eels should go after Tendulkar, he is like god to them.
  • I think this is a great idea and i applaud Ozzy for giving it a crack.I think it could also be very worthwhile chasing sponsors over there too.For example if they target rich businessmen like the billionaire mentioned in the article who are looking to expand internationally a 2mill sponsorship is a drop in the ocean to gain widespread exposure in the eastern states.
  • Genius. Cluey bloke this Paul Osbourne.
  • LOL this is amazing
  • This is great for the club I have few mates that don't support parra and often tell me that in order to survive we will have to merge with panthers . With this news coming and a billionaire coming on board I think we will be here for the long hall and we will be a club that is leader and will be innovators for other clubs to follow plus all the new members coming on board the money from pokies will not be main source of income..

"Firstly, i do not mind that Kendoza if that is what will happen. But many here will not like it as it slows down how fast we will be ready to be competitive. It will simple as that. If our 1 and 9 were more experienced, putting in a young 6 would be…"
