Great the Eels won tonight but seriously if they play like that against the Roosters next week they'll get flogged. Dylan Brown should be sent back to reserve grade for awhile and give Rankin or someone else a go at number 6. Matterson in my opinion is too conscious of getting another HIA and he upsets the status quo of the team. Lane is no good of the bench. It was a error ridden display tonight by the Eels and they need to improve for next weeks game against the Roosters. Now that Nathan Brown could be out for awhile I'm not sure who replaces him. Cartwright made a huge difference and needs to be in the 17. Id bring in either Hipgrave or Stone onto the bench. Happy for the win but bit concerned about the overall team performance especially D.Brown, Matterson

I am not concerned about the errors. When we played Storm and Raiders we lifted. We just played at the bulldogs level at some stages of the game. Lane knock on was a hospital pass from Gutho. I enjoyed Lane's work in the middle today honestly. D Brown was improving against Dragons and Broncos, but today he went backwards. D Brown is my favuorite player but I would not mind if he has a stint in reserve grade to regain his instinct and confidence. However, judging by his other two games, I can understand if he stays in the team.
I really don't see D Brown having the confidence to demand the ball. He only gets it, if Moses wants to go that way. Today he seemed a bit distracted. Averilo's try was not all his fault. D Brown had to slide to prevent an overlapp. I had no idea what Mahoney was doing defending next to him. Mahoney always struggles defending out wide. He has no lateral acceleration to defend. Brown dropped the ball of a line break when he made contact with tthe ground. He was gased, but should of done better. When Brown tried his miracoulous flick, he still seemed so gased. To be fair, everyone was making errors at the end of the game.
I think Gutho, Moses and Mahoney need to try get Brown more involved to help his confidence.
Maybe they don't have confidence in Dylan to actually do the job. Hes like he's just making up the numbers
Nope, Dylan slid way to early, follow the ball. He made a bad defensive call, so did Reed
I think DB has found the NRL harder then he thought I t would be, although I have never had any raps on him.
It's natural to not play you're best games against the bottom placed clubs, some complacency is totally understandable, but we were totally in control for the 80 minutes and that's what matters most.
You cant be expected to go all out swinging when you're 22 nil up. It's a long season and players need to conserve energy for the finals .
We came off a 30° NT match so its 100% natural to lapse throughout tonight
Possibly correct Chiefy but I'm not 100% convinced just yet. It will interesting to see how they go against the Roosters next week. However without N. Brown it might be more difficult.
Agree Eels were always in control, got a little impaction at times. But still a good win. I can see Carey starting in the 6 soon
Not a chance.
Like Dylan Brown you mean?
