Today the Eels officially announced Waqa Blake, Andrew Davey, Sam Loizou, Josh Hodgson and Jack Murchie all departing the club. Thank you for your service. Blake had a few nice moments for us, followed by horror stories that made him infamous towards the end. Davey was a stallward, a terrific story, especially when making his debut in 2020. He deserved his 44 NRL games, nobody can ever take that off him. Hodgson played enough to reach game no.150 in the NRL, but that drew curtains on a career that was 12 games overdue unfortunately. Murchie put his body on the line for his lone 5 games for the club. I though he would make a handy addition but it just did not work out. More so due to us trying to turn him into a middle forward when he was better suited as an edge back-rower. Finally, one game wonder Sam Loizou just could never beat injuries, played NSW Cup and was average at best. Still not sure how he got a debut in 2021, though he still got a debut, not sure if another club will take him but a player with talent that may never reach his potential.
Two things i will say; Firstly, these wont be the only departing players, there will be more once we hit transfers today. Secondly, it was reported when we signed Tuilagi and re-signed Cartwright and Greig, that Ofahiki Ogden's club option was not being taken up by the club. Yet i do not see him mentioned in departing players, TCT also are pretty on the nose with how they mention players deal, like they said Cini is on top 30 and they are right. Ogden has had no mention of being in the top 30, yet no mention of him leaving either, other than that one report. The option was in the clubs favour, so surely they know by now if he is staying. Hence why Ogden not being mentioned makes me think he has one more year. I hope so as i think he is a decent depth forwad.

I think rodwell, cini will be added to this list at some point in the season.
The Roosters have 2-3 interesting players that they released namely Jaxson Paulo, Paul Momirovski and Corey Allen. We should chase at least one.
Paulo signed with Manly, Momoirovski signed with Leeds.
Momirovski could do a job, similar type player to Opacic. Would have rather signed him than Harper
Yes ^
Corey Allen, whilst not top tier is a lot better than what we have at the moment.
certainly would be worth throwing a lifeline.
Personally, I think Corey is a better centre than Winger.
We still desperately need a quick winger.
We have a quick winger.
According to the Telstra Tracker data, Sivo was the 3rd fastest player in the NRL this season with Ronaldo Mulitalo taking out 1st spot and Jason Saab 2nd.
Sivo was faster than the Hammer and JAC.
What we need is a quality centre who can create space for Sivo.

If Sivo is that fast my name is Carl Lewis. Sivo from what I've seen is slow. Radradra and Eric Grothe were fast
Alex Johnson may disagree.
