Eels face grilling on secret slush fund

As per usual the DT has another article out today that keeps things with the eels on the boil. the included link I doubt will work as its long & for subscribers only. With the heading the following tidbit is shown  THE Parramatta Eels are being investigated over whether they used members’ money as part of a loss-making company that the NRL alleges was set up to thwart its salary cap.

Its hard not to believe the DT is trying to associate somehow the news yesterday that the PDRL has incurred a big loss for the year, with this sort of article, it would seem or appear that the club has set up an on purpose loss of an extreme amount of money that they have hidden away to pay players or something of that nature. That is supposition as I cannot read the actual article.

I believe both bits of news relating to the loss & this one are deliberately linked as the NRL I would think be looking at releasing their final decision next week, likely Monday or Tuesday, if not Thursday after SOO.

Once the decision is handed down & hopefully the EGM is called sooner rather than later, I would love to see whoever is in charge to get a legal opinion regarding the amount of gutter media, that has gone on this year, in their reporting & how they have reported things with a lot of innuendo & false information, & see if there is a winnable case against them.

While I believe the attacks are deliberate & have damaged the clubs reputation on top of what has been done already, none of the media reporting & news of such has helped the club either. So, its not just one or the other that has caused that to happen but certainly when the media has heaped on their truck loads of allegations & reports its certainly made up to a bit S hill by them.

"You're on the money as usual Coryn, but also, when the Storm are getting no reward late in the tackle, their 6 7 and 9 resort to angled grubbers thru our line or staying with angle lob one to allow their winger to catch and drop down over line.…"
